i just came back from a week long trip to phuket! :D it was great to get away for a while and i really thank God for the holiday. (:
to be honest i'm not really keen on asian countries cos they kinda look the same. phuket reminded me of hong kong and msia i.e. dirty, i'd much rather be in singapore. but once we got to the beach it was a whole different story. it was beautiful and i got to try all sorts of water sports!
first i went parasailing! kinda like going up in a parachute with a small speed boat pulling you around. it looks really fun when you're on the ground but actually it's not much when you're up there cos the ropes of the parachute was blocking my view (if not i'm sure the view would've been awesome) and all i could do was look down at the ocean. and the safety gear hurt! the most fun part was going up and coming down. haha.
then we went island hopping and snorkelling! it kinda sucked cos it rained that day and it was freezing on the speedboat. but still it was fun. i got to see physical geography in action! haha. for the last 10 minutes of the trip my cousins and i went to the front of the speedboat where it's the bumpiest and it was pretty awesome too.
and on the last day i tried the banana boat and jet ski! :D so awesome. the banana boat was arguably the most fun i had on the trip except when they toppled us into the ocean on purpose halfway through and i got a shock and screamed and in the process swallowed a whole lot of seawater. but i'd definitely go again, this time prepared. haha.
for the jet ski we got one of the people working on the beach to ride with us and he took us way out into the ocean where the view was awesome and the sea was a beauiful shade of blue-green. too bad i didn't have a camera with me or i would've taken a couple of shots.
and of course it was great to be back on the beach where the water's clear and the waves were fun to play in. the food was cheap and good too we had zhi cha and seafood dunno how many times. haha. and the kway teow there is slightly chewy and i really love it! haha. went sight-seeing too and the views were really awesome! we got to catch the sunset and took some nice jump shots.
ok i've used the word awesome so many times in this entry. haha. my cousin wants to go back. if i do get to go back i would love to try more water sports like water rafting, kayaking and even fishing, all of which i didn't get to try this time.
but it's good to be home. (: i've missed my family, bf and my bed.
